Founded in 1992, MediWales is the life science network and representative body for Wales. MediWales provides advice, support and business opportunities for their members, whilst promoting collaboration within the life science and health technology community in Wales.
With 180 members, their network is largely made up of life science organisations, pharmaceutical services and medical technology companies. We actively encourage engagement with the clinical research community and our membership includes NHS health boards and universities. We are an independent, not-for-profit limited company.
Connect with the world around you. Examine it from every angle. Question it, feel it. Open yourself to new experiences. Feed your creativity – and you can change the world.
At Cardiff School of Art and Design, creativity is shaped by your experiences. We give you opportunities to see things differently, to explore disciplines and cultures. We push you to expand your horizons and build your skills every single day.
Cardiff University's Innovation Network was founded in 1996, with the Mission to “develop a stronger network of links between industry and academia in order to enhance innovation – the successful commercial implementation of ideas.” Now in its 20th year, we have introduced hundreds of companies to the University’s expertise, knowledge and facilities. We hold a series of free events throughout the year, covering topics on innovation, enterprise and entrepreneurship, which provide a great opportunity to connect you with our expertise and with local business people, and to hear inspirational, thought-provoking speakers. Any company, enterprise or public body, large or small, can get involved and membership is free to all.
OTJ is extremely popular within the profession and is read and acknowledged not only by operating theatre staff of all disciplines, but also by medical agencies and companies, who utilise our popular pages to promote their services or latest products. Each month OTJ aims to bring its readership news and views that are of particular interest to operating theatre staff responsible for patient care. This includes general medical and administrative news, new product/equipment releases, evaluations and case studies, study days and courses.
A large section of product advertising ensures that our readers are kept informed of the very latest additions to the medical equipment portfolio. Also included within the pages of OTJ is Job Scene, where recruitment and employment opportunities are promoted.
We are actively growing a network of creative individuals who have a passion for their area and want to collaborate to bring innovations to healthcare. We meet in the evenings in various locations in Cardiff every month.
Although it's great if you do, it's not about having an idea yet.
We want to match people who have the potential of ideas with the people who can make it happen.
We don't mind who you are - but if you are actively an entrepreneur, a clinician, a researcher or teacher from any discipline then we'd like you to come along
